We’re overnighting in Muskogee, OK–a short drive today because we did not leave till mid afternoon. I always feel like clearing the traffic in the metroplex is our biggest hurdle each time we travel!
After checking into our hotel, we had dinner at the Boomarang (yes, that’s how they spell it) Diner. Rich searched online for places to eat– it had good reviews, especially for its Reuben sandwiches, and he was craving one. It was a cute place (apparently an Oklahoma chain) and the server was super friendly. She said she knew we were not from here because she saw me outside taking photos. 🙂
Tomorrow we are heading for Warrensburg, MO to visit with my friend Jeanie and her husband Randy. Jeanie and I went to high school together in Abilene, TX; although we’ve kept in touch all these years, I haven’t seen her since our kids were very young. We’ve been chatting online and are very excited to get together again. Hopefully our husbands will not be too bored with all of our reminiscing!
